I can't keep mates for 50 days, nevermind years!
This plate was made by my Auntie Theresa who moved down to Romford, Essex as an 18 year old. She made local fame down there as the first coalwoman. She was married to the local coalman Charlie Sparks. Theresa ("Tess") is on the the left and me Mum (Teresa) is on the right. I forgot about taking this pic, taken a few years ago. I was just emptying one of the boxes containing my Mum and Dad's possessions and came across it. The pic in the centre of the plate was taken in the Grafton Ballroom.

Hiya Chris,
thanks mate.
Regarding whether I'm a Red or a blue (all lower case), go back to the thread where you posted the question in the first place!:)

The filthy Southern ******* is ashamed to admit it in public. :D
My mum had one of those plate made with my mug on it when I was a sprog (about three weeks ago), and the photo on that faded to red as well. She thought she'd bought a duff one. Glad it's a common thin to happen.

That's nice ScouserDave.
I'm still best friends with my school mate - we went right through infants, juniors and senior school together. As we started school at the age of five, we are almost getting near to a 50 year friendship - just a couple more years to go !
OMG !!

I'm still best friends with my school mateAbout three years ago I received an e-mail through the web site 'Friends Reunited', it was from my old school mate and best friend who I hadn't seen for 47 years. He grew up two doors from me and sat next to me in school. He was from a very poor family, so much so that when he passed the eleven plus he was unable to take advantage of the oportunities presented, by this achievement, through lack of funds to purchase a school uniform. That didn't matter vis-a-vis his financial success. Len, that's his name, is now a multi-millionair living in a massive mansion on North Mossley Hill Road. His company has offices in Seoul, Shanghai, Guangzhou, HK, Ho Chi Mihn City, Bangkok, KL and Singapore. He has extensive interests in Merseyside and is chairman of a region wide organization.
In May/June of this year I was visiting Liverpool when he asked me over for dinner. He said he had something to show me. I was only anticipating seeing some old photographs of ourselves at a very young age. Instead I was given the surprise of meeting, once again, my next door neighbour and also a best friend who I hadn't seen since my wedding day. It was a very emotional experience and I thought that this was one of the best presents/surprises anyone had ever given me. It would have brought tears to a glass eye.
PS: Getting a little full just writing about it.:crybaby:
