Might be the lappys software is telling you something? do you have its manual?
Have you run an Adware program and an Antivirus scan? sometimes its better to run the antivirus scan in safemode.

Thats the cursor when you are moving (ie when you want to stretch a window etc. It could be a problem with memory (try microsofts memory diagnostic program via the MS website), or hardware acceleration in windows.
Whats the laptop (make model) and what version of windows?
If you know what cursor/mouse software is installed (especially Logitechs software) try closing it via taskmanager, or if you know hw, via msconfig->startup and untick.
Is it only happening when the mouse is connected or does it also happen when using the touchpad?

If its the up and down arrows, its when you click the "wheel" in the middle of the mouse - if you have one. Don't know about the right to left arrows :PDT_Xtremez_42:

The best thing, always, in this type of siuation is to cosult....Google.
By puting "whatever ails you in quotes" then a comma then a word like troubleshoot.
I shall go now and give it a try. :)

Recieved a new laptop for xmas with windows 7 and explorer 8 in it,I have never had any trouble with explorer 6 on my old computer loading images but the laptop has me puzzled. In the old one I just press the image icon and a box appears with the words Explorer prompt ,I then paste the url tick the box and its posted.
I did upload explorer 7 and 8 on my old one but quickly went back to explorer 6 for the same reason.
All I am getting is the little box with the red cross in it on the lap top,any ideas? I have read the instructions regarding posting image on this site.
