My scanner screamed and then wouldn't work anymore.
It's a Lexmark (don't all laugh at once!).
Any advice on what I should buy?
I only really need a printer to print text, but would like it to be part of the package.
Thanks in advance.
Philip.
My Printers a Lexmark and is better than the HP one I had.

I only really need a printer to print text, but would like it to be part of the package.Try the Epson Stylus RX600 series. Printer, scanner, copier all in one and it will even scan negatives and slides displaying the negative as a positive on your PC screen. You can get one (RX600) for under $150.00CAD over here but allowing for the UK markup, it shouldn't be too much more than 100 in £'s sterling.
Good luck.
PS: I have used one for about two years or more and have had no trouble.
I hate scanners, everyone I've had has broke. Digi cameras are good for images I find.

This sounds ideal. :celb (23):
And the price is OK.
I've still got all my negatives, going back 25 years.
Thank you, and Max, and Kev.
