They do this all the time :disgust:

Thanks I've tried all the websites that are proffessing to have it but none of em have hence why I'm asking here.
So anyone posting a link to a site please don't as they have not got the USB driver, normally VM send you a cd installation for the modems, they failed to do so here.

ur laptop not got am ethernet connection ?
If it has, then use that and u shouldn't need a driver coz it should already be installed with ur operating system.

George, had a quick google and found this answer !
Q: Where i can find scientific atlanta EPC2100R2 driver for windows 7 64-bit?
I need drivers for USB connection with pc. Can't find it anywhere...
A: "There is no driver for a modem! If the modem is already connected to your ISP, all you need do is connect the pc. Get rid of that garbage usb connector and get a networking cable"
hope this helps .... Mart

Just had an argument with VM about buying this and buying just so I can get the lappy online, why should we go out and buy an a adaptor when the provision of the modem should support both NIC & USB.
It would seem the Scientific Atlanta Model:EPC2100RS is extinct hence why it cannot support USB drivers so therefore what it means is VM are issuing their customers with old tat.
Isn't there something in their rules on signing up with VM that they will supply the customer with up to date equipment and support?
Think I'll email the informer?

Sales of Goods Act. Items must be fit for purpose.
If it don't work, then maybe it isn't fit for purpose.
