The kids in Yr 6 of our school (Garston CE) have been involved in making lanterns over the past

couple of weeks to take part in the Halloween Parade in Sefton Park. Lots of people take part and the lanterns look really lovely with everyone parading

through the park. The parade begins at 6.00 on Halloween and will walk through Sefton Park.

We will be there - it's a much nicer alternative to

the dreaded trick or treat!

Have a look what it is all about on www.liverpoollanterncompany.co.uk

I went to this tonight and it was BRILLIANT!! Loads of people there - kids loved it. We all carried our lanterns to

the end, walking behind a samba band, and they hoisted them up in the air with a crane (the lanterns not the band) :celb (23): - they were all swaying about

in the wind. There were huge illuminated lanterns on the route. It was really great - well done to all the people who organised it. I would definitely go

again next year.
