Still my favourite reggae singles are
Liquidator by Harry J and The All Stars, and Return To Django by the Upsetters. I haven't been to Scumford Bridge (Chelski FC) for a couple of years, but
Liquidator has been a regular favourite there since I was a kid.

Takeover is back with another dub- infused shakedown. The heart and soul of reggae soundsystem is alive in Liverpool. Expect bare bass-ended beats and a little extra thrown into the mix for good taste. New location means more space for more steppers and bigger, badder sound.
Date: fri 13th March
Location: The Magnet http://www.magnetliverpool.co.uk/
Time:9-2
Cost: ?2 b4 11/ ?3 after
Guests:
Martin Fox, back with some foundation REGGAE sounds and DIGITAL roots.
THOMAS E. GRIFFIN (DREADNOUGHT/RUFFAGE) www.myspace.com/thomasegriffin
Straight out of Leeds with heavy RAGGA and DUBSTEP sounds. This man was a pioneer of the scene in Liv, bringing you the now infamous Dreadnought dances. Tom's a continued purveyor of all things dub@Ruffage which rivals Subdub and Forward in the quality and quantity of acts. Not one to be missed.
JAM JAH SOUND SYSTEM "Birmingham's Numba one Reggae Sound"
www.myspace.com/jamjahsound
We are proud to bring the mighty Jam Jah to Liverpool. They have been working their sound for a good 10 years alongside names such as DADDY FREDDY, HORACE ANDY (massive attack), OVERPROOF SOUNDSYSTEM, ABA SHANTI and DJ DEREK to name but a few. These bois bring the old and the new vibes to the dance, delivering blessings to all.
REDSHIFT SOUNDS (TAKEOVER) www.myspace.com/redshiftsounds
Heavy weight soundsystem rockers playing ROOTS, DIGITAL and DANCEHALL beats for all under the sun.
ORGANIK (TAKEOVER, EARTH) www.myspace.com/organikliverpool
This artisan of finely crafted DUBSTEP and 2STEP has witnessed the rise and rise of the scene within Liv having graced the tables with SUBEMERSE and TOM GRIFFIN as far a field as Leeds and Bristol way. Get those shoes out for a skankin!
