Anyone recall The Face magazine? Issue 1 had Jerry Dammers of The Specials on the cover. I thought I'd got rid of them all, but I've just found about 50 of them in my latest loft search. Remember Liverpool band Hambi and the Dance? One of the early 80s Face issues advertises their "latest release" on the back page. I'll bore you with Liverpool Face related photos later:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

I remember an article in the 80's called scallies rally to see Pink Floyd, you might have guessed it was about the Liverpool obbsession with the band,it was about the scouse masses that saw the band at Maine Road I think,do you have that issue Dave?

Don't recall that issue Paul. I know there was a positive article about resurgent Liverpool in the mid 1990's, but I'd stopped buying it by then.

I think the band were big fans of Liverpool too. A song called "Fearless" on the 1971 album "Meddle" (their second best album IMO) featured the Kop singing YNWA. An excellent song that I'd recommend downloading/buying.

Yes, I requested that the Australian Pink Floyd played this at The Summer Pops with no success :disgust:. Anyway, Aussie Floyd love Liverpool too :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Great album Meddle :PDT_Piratz_26:

Yes I've got everything by them and it was Dave Gilmour's idea for the Kop bit he's a red.

WOW!! Check out the moccasins on McCulloch! LOL!

Why haven't they made a return in the current 80s revival?!

Back in the 80s I had the opportunity to go 'bombing' with my partner who was a grafitti artist living in NYC.
To my amazement, the very first stencil I attempted on a wall in SoHo was photographed and shown in a short article towards the beginning of one of The Face publications.
I'd love to find a copy of it!
The picture was of a red crocodile (yes, I know, it would have been green if it was supposed to be traditional art).
The crocodile had a trickle of 'blood' running down its face from where I'd oversprayed the stencil with paint.
Anybody have any suggestions?
thanks!

Brian, the only article I can find so far is this one, Issue 30 (1982). It's NY and the graffiti's red. I don't think it's a crocodile though:question:

It could be, vaguely, a crocodile, or else one of those lines they put around murder victims. :celb (6):
