This was taken at the very end of the 13.2 miles as I was about to cross the finish line. I was ****ed. Especially as I'd ran the last mile very quickly. I raised £200 for charity and completed it in 2hours. My personal best from the leeds half marathon is 1:43:00 (7.8 minute miles), but considering about 8 times more people run the Great Northy it is difficult to accelerate. In the last mile I was elbowing people out of way and taking over folk like a nutter.

I wish Liveprool had a big event like this. The people up there are great. They line the streets cheering people on. It really lifets a runner's spirits. Plus there are all kinds of bands playing along the way. At one point some blokes were handing ale out to runner LOL!!!
