Ignore me I'm stupid it wasn't this site at all anyway here are some sites good fun.

http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ This is a wonderful find, and a great way to print out cheap, stylish posters to fill a wall space, you can simply upload them from any of your photos and add an effect to become your own Andy Warhol.
Do you have .net framework installed? you need it.

It's an alternative to adobe;(haven't tried this yet)
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php you want the third one down - "PDF Reader free!".

Mosaic Pictures that are made out of 1000's of tiny pictures. Well this program makes them for you! - For best results use a base image with strong contrast. There are loads of settings to play around with if you want. There are 101 uses for this. A company that needs a picture in your waiting area? Family holidays you never want to forget? the list goes on
Oh yer, if you are getting digital pictures printed add one or two of these in (you may want to get the ratio of the outputed file to match that of the printers ie 7x5). You can even get them printed on canvas online!
