It's kind of scary isn't it to reflect on how much better conditions were 40 years ago than now?
Not the MPTE's fault of course, it's just the way of the world.

Got a lot of new ones on this side WW. Wonder why the fares are so dear though. They seem a tad excessive to me.

Thanks for comments. Such a shame the weather was so bad. I think a lot more of the general public would have stopped to see what was going on if it had been sunny. I spent the afternoon on the free bus rides, (with a donation) when the rain came. Here's some more pics. Not many takers for the open topper.

I know a couple of people who were planning to go,but were put off by the weather, which is a shame! Even if it had been earlier in the year, chances are, it would still have rained!! Great pic's!

It certainly was cold, the trips round the city center were the only way to keep warm. I just love the confused look we got from waiting bus passengers

That is me driving 2025 to St Georges.
Yes, A very wet day as another post describes. Unfortunately it couldnt realistically be held earlier in the year as it was a birthday celebration of MPTE, so had to be done at this point in the calendar .... sods law declared that the day after dawned with sunshine and a bright blue sky, but what can you do !!
:handclap:

The old busses seem to have had more character than todays offerings.
