Have you ever sensed that the phone was about to ring, then it rings a moment later?

Have you ever thought of someone whilst out shopping only to bump into them soon after?

And why does this happen?

You havn't seen someone for literally years or a very long time, then you see them 3 times within a short space of time?

Similar to "Whenever I look at the clock it is always 12:34, or 11:11". Humans are good at picking out patterns in things, or recognising coincidences, and when they happen we actively realise so and remember them. You never remember for more than a few minutes if the clock was showing 11:38, or 7:24. This is why it seems that it always shows a pattern when you look at it, because these are the only instances you remember.

This same theory applies to all these other coincidences and 'weird' happenings. How many times do you think of someone, anyone, while out shopping and not bump in to them?

Saying all that, you talking about sensing when the phone is about to ring reminds me - I used to know someone whose dog would start barking and going crazy just before the phone rang. Do you bark and go crazy just before the phone rings?

I have elements of dreams coming true all the time, but indirecty (ie when I have the dream I can have no idea what will happen). An example is last week I dreamt I was talking to an old friend I've had no contact with for 4 years, whose surname is an unusual one. The next day in work I had a call from someone with that very same surname, who I have never had any contact with before. Weird.

talking about weird, this is morbid but true, When I was 13 I dreamt my grandad, who I was really close to, died, I woke in the morning with tears streaming down my face, it was so real that I did not know whether it had happened or not, I went downstairs and sobbing asked my mum if grandad was ok, I even phoned him that morning and asked if he felt ok, he sounded his usual self and I reminded him that I would be coming to his house tonight for tea instead of the next night as I had netball practice, (I used to go to his house every Thursday after school for tea, but this particular week I went on the Wednesday) Anyway, around 1.pm in school we were just finishing dinners when I told one of my friends who lived in Old Swan that I would be walking home with her that night cos I was going to grandads, meanwhile my mum on her 1pm lunchbreak in work, phoned my dad in work to remind him to pick me up from grandads that night, also my older brother was working in the next road to grandads and decided at around 1pm to go and have lunch with my grandad except that he got a call for a gas leak (he worked for gas board) and he had to go on the call.

Well when I got to my grandads, his front door was closed, my grandads door was never closed in them days unless he was up at the shops, but instead of walking to the top of the road to wait, I did something I have never done before and went round the entry to his back gate, let myself in and as I was going in the back door, I saw my grandad asleep on the settee, only he was not asleep, he had died in his sleep, which he always had after his dinner, they reckoned time of death was around 1pm. (I have to say I thought my world had ended as I was so close to him) but isnt that a spooky coincidence!!! Incidentally in true scouse humour, a few days later my dad (whose dad it was) asked me to study the horses and see if I could dream who was the winner!

What is he like:rolleyes:

Anyone else had a spooky thing happen like that?

Wow you just brought back like a phsycic happening (is that how you spell it? - happening ;)

All those years ago I was sitting in the kitchen, in the tennies you never had a lounge or sitting room, it was the kitchen, the cooking was done in the back kitchen. Anyway I was stuffing my face with a fry's 5 centres (you know, those different fondant fillings of orange, strawberry, lime .... anyway (again), whilsat watching Champion the wonderhorse one saturday morning, I followed this chocolate with a Cadburys bar 6 then an aztec, then ate my orange and was just about to peel a banana when my mam shouted at me 'Go and put it back in the cupboard, you'll be sh1tting over nine bar gate' - as if by magic, within half an hour I was doing a diarrhoea (Is that how you spell it?)

Since we are speaking of weird things happening.. I can think of someone..and in one or two days.. That person calls me.. Always!!

Another strange thing.. I was little, when the smell of carnations filled our neighborhood one morning.. Just pungent and almost too sweet.
Well, my mum dressed me, and my sister ,and dragged us down the street to this mans house..Ashley... He had just died..(will never forget his name, now associated with his death, and this incident).. takes deep breath.....:002:
My mum told us the smell of flowers fill the air when someone dies.. Well, why carnations...yucko!! I didn't want to go even by his house.. too creepy the thought.. so, I just remember standing outside..
Anyway, I was trembling to think this may ever happen again... It did once, I remember.. it took me right back to that memory..(which is now imbedded forever in my senses)..:PDT_Aliboronz_11:
