Have you ever sensed that the phone was about to ring, then it rings a moment later?

Have you ever thought of someone whilst out shopping only to bump into them soon after?

And why does this happen?

You havn't seen someone for literally years or a very long time, then you see them 3 times within a short space of time?

Similar to "Whenever I look at the clock it is always 12:34, or 11:11". Humans are good at picking out patterns in things, or recognising coincidences, and when they happen we actively realise so and remember them. You never remember for more than a few minutes if the clock was showing 11:38, or 7:24. This is why it seems that it always shows a pattern when you look at it, because these are the only instances you remember.

This same theory applies to all these other coincidences and 'weird' happenings. How many times do you think of someone, anyone, while out shopping and not bump in to them?

Saying all that, you talking about sensing when the phone is about to ring reminds me - I used to know someone whose dog would start barking and going crazy just before the phone rang. Do you bark and go crazy just before the phone rings?

I have elements of dreams coming true all the time, but indirecty (ie when I have the dream I can have no idea what will happen). An example is last week I dreamt I was talking to an old friend I've had no contact with for 4 years, whose surname is an unusual one. The next day in work I had a call from someone with that very same surname, who I have never had any contact with before. Weird.
