The Odd Spot - Bold St - was good for 'sleb spotting in the early to mid 70s. The hotels would recommend it to famous visitors so many of them ended up there.

Had an audience with the Pope in Rome. He mentioned you at the five Ways. He said you shouted something but he couldn't hear. What was it.

Saw Franny Jeffers in Mathew St recently, hardly worth mentioning.

Saw Ulrika Johnsonn when she opened a Mobile phone shop in the late 90s in the precinct.

Seen Emile Heskey in Dom 1s in Slater street about 5 years ago.

Jennifer Ellison walking down Wood St when she was still in Brookie.

Louis Emerick, Mick from Brookie, in Town in the late 90s.

Jerry Sadowitz, brilliant Jewish Scottish Comedian, in Town during the day in the early 90s when I was still a young teen.

Tinhead, Leo Johnson, Rod Corkhill and Mike and Jackie Dixon, all from Brookside at various times in town on saturday nights.

Pete Price I suppose, in Rubber Soul and Grapes a few months ago, though can't say I jumped for joy.

Jamie from the group Space and Katie Rogers from Brookie in the Stanley pub in Huyton.

When I was about 15 I saw Billy Butler at the old Paradise Street Bus Station.

Boy George in Ibiza in 99.

Probably more but can't think on top of my head.

The Augustus John - that's a name from the past. I was in there the night it opened - free beer for the first half hour (or hour, can't remember). The crush at the bar was scary and I think I only managed to get the one free drink.
