Most of us just go on holiday to a resort, or on the same old tours that visit the same old spots. But a bit of exploring (and a car) can produce things not on the British tourist map1
San Salvador, Felanitx, Mallorca, is a hill 510 metres high, with a former monastery and church on top. You can drive to the top along a road with bends that the Blackpool Mouse would envy! The Spanish have picnics here on Sundays and there is a restaurant/cafe. The buildings date from the 14 th Century.
