Hello George et al.

Thanks, George, Dale Street and Bold Street are, I believe, the two city centre streets that have probably changed the least in the last century. Would you agree with me in that assessment?

Chris

Yep,but its designated for change in the coming future,at least thats what I got told from a shop proprietor who's had a shop there for donkeys years and also had one in whitechapel before that got revamped.

I'm led to believe that all the old buildings are staying and only the shops that are in a delapidated condition will be demolished, basically its a revamp to ease more traffic congestion coming in from the bootle and southend runs.

Hi George

Good to think they will keep the basic character of the street. Thanks for this information, George.

This old hoist is in Hackens Hey off Dale St. I wander why it`s outside the old High and Mighty shop which catered for outsize men???

I wonder why the High and Mighty shop needs hoist.
