As I replied to the Neil Young thread it got me thinking about all the gigs I have been to thought I would start one off and see what type of music people like and what gigs they loved AS I AM A ROCK CHIC ha ha.

I've been to a few that I've really enjoyed, but I loved seeing the quireboys at the Carling Academy 2 last year. I thought the venue was perfect.
I reckon this thread should be combined with the gig recommendations one

There's too many for me to mention but my most memorable show was last week at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester where I was invited onstage to join Dweezil Zappa onstage with the rest of the ZPZ band. I was on cloud nine for days.
The show was absolutely perfect in everyway as usual but to be asked to join them was something else.:PDT11

Manics at the MEN Arena in 96, just an awesome concert - But torn between that and Richies final tour, seeing the full lineup at the Academy in 94.

Can I count the Cavern? If so there was an all nighter with the Beatles and every other good Liverpool band.
Cat Steven's ,the one with the magic theme and started with a magician. Steven (Yusef now) 'appeared' from a box!
The Who in NY.
Joe Cocker at Carnegie Hall

I remember seeing Morrissey at the Royal Court probably 6 years or so ago, got in late, managed to fight our way to the front of the pit, excellent gig, was 'that' close to shaking the great mans hand and even managed to bag a set list...but the highlight if you can call it that must have been getting out of the gig and wondering why I felt so cold on a warm summers night until it dawned on me that I was literally dripping wet from head to foot with sweat (laughs)
What a night though, real passion, not a patch on the concert in the Phil a few years later which was all seating, but the Mrs has got me some tickets for the last night of the tour at the Echo Arena, standing of course, so lets hope that everything is back on form for that.
