I have been trying to get a website together on Old Swan and surrounding area's,
why...
because there isn't one
anyway, here's the link below.
I still have quite a bit to add, but I'd like to see if anyone thinks I'm wasting my time or, by chance thinks it's going OK...
Martin.

We're blocked from viewing any social netwoking sites here in work so I'll have a nose later at home.
We wont be at the quiz next Thursday Mart so you might have a chance of winning :)

Keep going. V good. The new defunct Toxteth.net site was excellent and one which you could style it on. I don't know if you ever went onto that site.

Really good site Martin, I stayed in there far too long and visited Ged's site yet again. You would think I had nothing to do the amount of time I spend in here!

A very good site. I used to live in Swan Hill Villa in the 1950/60's. A very damp old house, long ago demollished. I believe that is was the farm house for Swan Hill Farm. It was owned by the Scraggs Tripe family, the tripe works being to the rear.

It was on Rathbone Road, on the corner with Borax Street. It was originally built of sandstone, but in the fifties it was coated in concrete to keep the damp out. It appears on the 1830's map on your site, very close to Elms House.
