Now if we had a DNA register this would be solved quite easily.

Someone must know the owner of the mini red motorcycle too.

Let's hope scum like this are jailed for a very long time. They're either that thick not to know bodily fluids left in/on her will pinpoint them or they just don't care as they'll probably get a nice daily hot meal inside jail - if they are ever caught and sentenced which is why many people would take the law into their own hands on cases like this.

I do know that if she was my daughter / niece, when they found out who did it, I would kill these scumbags and do the 6 life sentences.
I can't begin to imagine how she must feel after having to go through this ordeal for hours. Lets hope they do catch them and they each get 15yrs minimum AND like is mentioned, someone takes a shine to them in prison.

I've 14 year old niece who lives in that area - I agree with Martin - I want to kill 'em too. Poor kid - her life is probably destroyed now.

This is truly appalling but the rapists are likely to get about 7 years in jail if caught. Maybe less is they are teenagers who cannot be identified for legal reasons by being under 16 years old.

Disgusting. In my area too. What the hell is going wrong with Norris Green,I don't know but I can only imagine what it must sound like/seem like to people not from the area.
To think people where once on a waiting listfor a few years to get a house in Norris Green due to it being a decent "posh" area.

When I was a teen you where scared of getting involved with "jail bait" girls, Under 16's trying to be 18. They where not worth the hassle. To go out with a few mates and abuse a girl in anyway was unheard of. I think name calling would be the worst that a gang of lads would do back then.
I know there's been rapes and other dispicable crimes through the years and somethings just don't change. But a rape in Norris Green and on a kid too .
That's just too much.
I hope these scummy "son's of crackheads" get caught. Named and shamed and then sent down for more than 18 years. They deserve life but realistically 18 years in a hard prison on the "nonces" wing will give a little justice.
(I have seen the nonces wing in Walton and believe me....It is packed out and it is full of young and old. Horrible dirty.......etc etc etc.):PDT10

The first offender is described as white, aged 15-16 years, around 5ft 8ins tall, of broad build with a strong Liverpool accent.

He was wearing a black three-quarter-length 'Location' jacket, black and blue tracksuit bottoms and Nike trainers.

He wore a scarf over his face, which was black with white spots, and had dark eyes and thick eyebrows.

The second offender, who had earlier been sat on the red mini motorbike, was white, aged about 17, of skinny build and was wearing baggy black tracksuit bottoms, black, red and white Reebok trainers and a black jacket.

The third offender was around 5ft 5ins tall, of skinny build and was wearing a black 'Location' jacket whose hood had built-in goggles which covered his face completely, and black tracksuit bottoms.

The fourth offender, who stole the girl's phone after she had been raped by all four, was white, around 5ft 5ins, of skinny build, with green or blue eyes and light brown eyebrows. He was wearing a black jacket and Nike tracksuit bottoms, which were unzipped at the ankles.

I feel sick for the girl and her family, and hope she can get over the trauma and not let it spoil the rest of her life.

What was she doing walking down a disused railway bridge late at night? We know there are predators out there looking for opportunities - and she was unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. We should be able to walk anywhere in safety, but the fact is that we can't.

I'm 6' 5" and can look after myself, but I'd think twice about being in such a location in the dark. Do kids just not have a sense of danger these days and remain oblivious to risk? With so much bad news in the papers I'd have thought kids would have heightened awareness, but apparently not.

Anyway - get well soon love, and enjoy life. Not everyone out there is scum.

I knmow what you mean Kevin, an isolated place, out of the way of being seen and heard is not a good place to be walking, even for a fella, even though at 8pm when it first happened, there's still an hour of daylight.

I thought about when I first saw the news, but decided to be careful as I didn't want anyone to think I was suggesting it was partly her own fault for being where she was.

I certainly tell my two teenage boys to be wary of where they go and to be alert for dangerous areas. It could be just that my risk sensor is over-developed - all the time I was at sea I was visiting ports with very dangerous areas, but you didn't always know which areas they were so you developed a sort of radar for sensing when to get the hell out!

For all my alertness, I got shot at once (Tanzania), held at gunpoint twice (Tanzania and Houston), and stabbed once (Jamaica). Perhaps my radar wasn't quite as good as I remember?

If allowed to get away with this, these type will strike again as they'll think they're untouchable. If all the negativity of the area and seeing fellow louts being jailed for a long time doesn't convince them this isn't the way to be then nothing will. The police should organise dna testing of all males between the age of 15 and 20 in the area and watch them sh1te.

I Cannot believe this has happened again, 8Th September 2007 was a date in our family we will never forget my niece who was 15 at the time was walking to top up her phone at 1.50 in the afternoon when she was dragged from behind by the B&M on muirhead avenue to the garages from parkside which is all passageways to the shops and she was raped by one male and 3 others held her down, This is not a isolated case the police push everything under the carpet, all these boys described like the poor girl today they all has their faces covered and were wearing those black hats (lowwie) and scarfs covering their mouths, one of the youths had distinguishing GREEN EYES. I believe this is the same gang it has to be lets hope the young girl in question gets all the support from her family as it destroyed our family to believe someone could do this to a child on a Saturday afternoon. We even had to pay for DNA ourselves the police rape councillor said to my niece that you can only get DNA for 48hours and we all know that DNA is available for 1000s of years as cases have shown. The whole case stinks and my family are still fighting for justice I just hope that some DNA on this young girl matches with my niece.

Sorry to hear about your niece Lisa. Yes, like i've said before. Becoming untraceable makes these animals feel invincible, it's all a big joke to them. An all out attempt needs to be made to trace them. Like Billy Butler said today, the locals must know who owns that distinctive bike, his parents must know but we know from the Mercer case about the hush hush apsect which has to be broken for cases like we hearing about. Bigger deterrents need to be in force in the first place, not letting them hear that prisons are full so they'll get a slap on the wrist. Any wonder when we see the rot at the top ruling us.

If she usually goes that way home/to the pub then she'd think nothing of walking there. If you started to think about some of the place u walk/have walked alone u'd go OMG am I mad.

The bit I can't get over is how 6 lads can all think it'd be a good idea/laugh to do something as horrible as this. u'd have thought at least half of them would not have wanted anything to do with it and tried to stopped the others. Maybe it's wrong of me to think most ppl have common sense. I know I'm probably talking crap but it makes ya think the extreme world in alot of futuristic films could actually happen

It's a nice attribute to think nice of everyone scouse, but it does have its downsides when you continually get let down. My old workmate however has the opposite view in that everyone he meets is a half wit that was starved on oxygen at birth. That way, he says, you sometimes get a pleasant surprise when they turn out to be alright. :)

After our recent postings on here about this rape and the rape of my niece, our family have been contacted by a reporter in London from the program Dispatches I had them filming in my house for 4 hours on Saturday and the program is to air on 22ND June, the police declined to make a interview regarding the rapes in Liverpool which in total the reporter tells us is a staggering 11 this year has anyone seen anything in the press about these rapes NO we have not, which is despicable.
After the filming here my family where taken to the area in which it happened and they have filmed there too the reporters could not believe how open it was and it was around the same time of day that the rape happened there were people walking past with shopping, people opening there windows looking at what was going on and 2 cars came out of their garages at this time but when my niece was raped no one saw a thing which I think is unbelievable, are these people too scared to come forward and just don't want to be involved as people are too scared to come out of their houses in broad daylight.
This program will be on channel 4 so please watch it.
This is covering Liverpool and London which she tells us 85 rapes have taken place and they think are all gang related, and guess what the police are not doing a thing as the same with our case.

Don't know if you ever listen to the Roger Phillips phone-in on radio Merseyside on weekdays between noon and 2pm but they sometimes have chief of police, Bernard Hogan Howe on and I Know some people have complained about individual cases live on air and got him to look into them as they've taken their phone number off air to the 'A' team.

Even when he's not on the programme it might be worth airing this complaint as Roger and the 'A' team often take them up off air and speak to the organisations involved.

We have done all that just after it happened and we have already spoke to Hogan How and he gave us someone called Richie Davies who was just as useless. There is just so many discrepancies with the police and their so called procedures, they are just to scared. The IPPC even came to mums house to stop it going in the echo but we did get an article in the daily post which OK is not as popular as the echo.
My mum was banned from going on the Roger Philips show by the police she did try and call, but the police told the radio not to let her speak because the police said so as it was so close to the Rhys Jones murder they did not want to scare the people of Norris green. I always respected the police but now i do wonder, this has destroyed our family.

They're quick enough arresting a teenager with a 20 quid bag of herbal cannabis?
I was once nicked with a very small amout of cannabis a good few years ago...the coppers said to me "we have to nick someone in this area before we can go to town "perving" on the women". Great, smackheads are running riot in my area along with the house robbers,bag snatchers and gun weilding teens but it sems that it was more important to get to town to watch the ladies. This is still the case today. It's all to do with numbers,the more arrests they make they seem to be doing a good job. Lazy policing I reckon.
