Funny Names

What is with all the funny names on the forum lately ?
Hijkl9876 and efgcbc732 and the likes ???? I know these are "spammers" butwhy is there so many all of a sudden.?
Can their email address be revealed so we can spam them?
I hope it doesn't affect the forum in any shape or form.

They are indeed Spam registrations. I spent this morning cleaning up the forum as they post as many as 30 posts at a time all advertising stuff.

Lucky for members that they are caught by the spam catcher, which puts them all in a moderation queue for me to approve or delete :PDT11

They're a pain in the arse aren't they? I hosted a Chester forum for a while, an ofshoot of my 'Chester Virtual Stroll' website, but the bloody spammers just wouldn't let up and I eventually lost heart and took it down.

Shame really. I never expected it to become as mighty an institution as Yo but some nice relationships and chats were developing. Pehaps I'll have another bash one day when I've got the time for grubbing out spammers...
