In the early seventies they put unmarked police cars on the streets of Liverpool 8. Thing was every car had the intials SKD on the number plate. If anyone shouted SKD we would all do a runner.:ninja:
Imagine how much tax this little lot must've cost as the Police got mobile in 1967 with their new fleet of Mini Cooper S's, Ford Anglias and Triumph 650s.

I never sent the Knights round :PDT_Xtremez_12:
Ha ha Samp, I well remember the Jeeps and Panda's that came around after the robbed cars - brought into the square by outsiders of course. Usually after the latest episode of the Sweeny, I blame them.
No, it was that film, 'Violent Playground'. I remember it being made, and the final scene in the old paint warehouse just off Cazenue St.
Played by there many a time as a kid. After the blitz the council stacked thousands of bricks there from the bombed buildings in town. I can remember kids building forts and all kinds of dens among the bricks, its a wander nobody was killed.

I remember the movie. The camera shots made Gerrard gardens look enormous. The big arch at the front had lots of local kids playing around inside it was quite moving. Still the title says it al l:063:

Great Pictures Ged and quite unusual. The coopers in both pictures were from the first fleet of Coopers that Liverpool city police bought.

We never took your bombie wood: Joke. I never hung around there but I remember Caryle Gardens and a dispute about the right of way with Sussex and Wawick and of course King.
