Gone for repair! It's in safe hands. Couple of my family friends have inspected it on its removal. One face is being redone and the rest are going back as they were.

Is the little "Naughty Boy" prison still there ?
When in Olive Mount homes I and others spent a lot of time hanging about there. That must have been in the late 40s early 50s (shows age now  )

Heres a story once they decided to clean the liver clock and so they scaffolded the building and took down the fingers on a pulley. A van pulls up and these guys get out see the fingers are cast and take them off. They put an appeal out to get them back and after a long wait, no one knows exactly how long as the clock was not functioning (my joke) a scrap metal dealer phoned up and asked the builders if they were looking for two pieces of cast one bigger than the other? because if he was giving them back he wanted reimbursing.:ninja:

Thanks, Spike and Cadfael. Nice pics, Spike... they bring back memories for me. :handclap:

Good to know the "hands" are in "safe hands" and this local monument and landmark is being cared for. :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
