I doubt Rooney will be fit enough to take part.

Hope Owen is ok though.

I find it quite amusing that Wayne Rooney's uncle was in last weeks newspaper saying he stands to win 50 grand when he plays in the World Cup,apparently he bet when Wayne was a mere 12 year old kid that he would play in the 2006 World Cup.

So what if Rooney's injured.

Was it Shankley or Paisley who said that no one player is greater than the team?

If he'd have been injured just before the World Cup then maybe we'd have a worry, but with a few weeks to go surely Sven can find someone else to fill that position. :celb (23):

How the hell was Darren Bent ignored? he's the leading scorer in the Premiership out of all the English players! The strikers are Rooney(injured)Owen(unfit) so that leaves Crouch(?) and 17 year Theo Walcott(unexperienced).England haven't got a chance.I'm going for Germany to win this.:snf (41):

Theo Walcott has revealed that his childhood hero was Emile Heskey.
He used to wear a Liverpool shirt with Heskey on the back and run around trying to learn how to play football.

And so did Theo Walcott!!

Big panic this morninng as West Ham captain Nigel Reo-Coker pulled out of the World Cup squad with a back injury and is to be replaced by veteran fullback Phil Neville.

The panic isn't that Reo-Coker's pulled out it's that he's been replaced by Neville!!!!:Colorz_Grey_PDT_16:

WOMAN'S DIARY:
Saturday 29th April 2006.

Saw him in the evening and he was acting really strangely. I went shopping in the afternoon with the girls and I did turn up a bit late so thought it might be that.

The bar was really crowded and loud so I suggested we go somewhere quieter to talk. He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we go somewhere nice to eat. All through dinner he just didn't seem himself; he hardly laughed, and didn't seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying. I just knew that something was wrong.

He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in, he hesitated, but followed. I asked him again if there was something the matter but he just half shook his head and turned the television on.

After about 10 minutes of silence, I said I was going upstairs to bed. I put my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply. He just gave a sigh, and a sad sort of smile.

He didn't follow me up, but later he did, and I was surprised when we made love.

He still seemed distant and a bit cold, and I started to think that he was going to leave me, and that he had found someone else...

I cried myself to sleep.
