Hi folks,

I frequented this pub years ago quite often. It changed names just before it was turned into a fitness club. Anyone remember the new name?

I think it was Gladstone's Kev.

Hi Kev

The only pub I knew in Rose Lane when I lived in Mossley Hill in the Sixties was The Rose of Mossley. Could it later have become The Cascades? The Rose of Mossley was located near the Women's Institute before you got to the railway bridge and station.

All the best

Chris

The Rose of Mossley is still there Chris, a fine pub too! Cascades was situated next to the train station, its now LA Fitness.

Thanks for the info, Kev. The Rose was a bit tatty when I was there in the Sixties but hopefully they have spruced it up since.
