Morris dancing groups entertain shoppers in Liverpool city centre
May 18 2009
by Lorna Hughes, Liverpool Daily Post

MORRIS dancing groups took to the streets of Liverpool city centre.
The day of traditional English dance was organised by the Southport Swords and the all-female Mockbeggar Morris Dancers.
The all-day event saw eight dance groups performing in Liverpool One, Williamson Square, Albert Dock and Church Street on Saturday.
Dave Roberts, of Southport Swords, said: ?The idea was to show people how to dance and hopefully some will join us.?

Are they being smuggled in, in the music cases, do you think?

On the preview for Britains Got Talent next week there was someone doing a part of his act with a case very similar to his on the stage - it could be him.

Can anyone work out how this 'living statue' holds his pose ! ??
How does he maintain that sitting position with no seat !! He stays in this pose for ages without so much as a slight wobble !
I can guarantee that there is no 'invisible' seat - it's just fresh air bleow him ! I don't know how it's done http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y249/rubinda/avatars/e20301.gif

It's a frame thing on his legs. Seen this before somewhere.
Wow, there are so many interesting performers in Liverpool! Sorry, but do you know, that if you will film them with any device you have you can win a digital camera? I'm working for R&R Music and running the buskers competition. The rules are simple -
1. Film the street performer you like
2. Upload your video to YouTube
3. Paste the code here - http://randrworld.com/buskers.php
Each month we will reward with a digital camera the person who submits the video and story that receives the most votes during that month from the users of R&R World Arena.
Try yourself! :)

Saw this old chap in Paradise st today.
I felt sorry for him -he looked so bedraggled and frail ! The music he was playing was so feint you could hardly hear it !
He looked to me like he should have been in a comfy armchair somewhere - not hanging around the town.
It's a shame !

Thanks Chris, that photo Chris was taken outside Mother Care on Whitechapel.
Not long after Jackson was beaten up by low life and was almost left for dead..
he was in the Royal for a long time and later a nursing home..
he's out now... or was, I'm not sure how he is or where he is
as he has not been seen around the town for a long while.
talking of which...
I'm off out... to capture Liverpools past today..
Cheers Chris...

In Jacko's Eyes
As you say, there's a whole world in there.
In the photo, he's unshaven with battered
straw hat, smoking a filter-tip cigarette,
his white eyebrows shooting out wildly.
We remember him at the Eleanor Rigby statue,
on the bench sitting next to her bronze figure,
strumming his cut-out cardboard guitar.
"Ah, look at all the lonely people!"
