Yes, we should have them here in Liverpool too.
Will they be in their phoneboxes too or are they just reserved for naked ladie adverts still?:unibrow:

My favourite poster was the one that said "Liverpool has more museums and art galleries than anywhere else outside of London" or words to that effect, and then went on to say "but some of them are spectacular" and it showed you Antony Gormley's "Another Place" looking absolutely amazing,I think it worked really well.

Even the wallpaper in the Walker Gallery is spectacular. Sometimes, I go in there just to look at the walls behind the paintings. :ninja:

LIVERPOOL'S latest drive to attract new companies to the area will today strike a direct hit in the heart of London's business world.
The latest phase of a major three-part advertising campaign is being launched in the capital.
The Mersey Partnership is behind the campaign, which will feature strategically sited advertisements clearly targeted at a business audience.
Liverpool's competitive advantage will be on show, with outdoor displays at Euston railway station as well as the
world's busiest airport, Heathrow. One advert will feature an image of the distribution line at the Jaguar car plant at Halewood to demonstrate the efficiency and flexibility of the 2,400-strong work force.
The plant, one of Ford's flagship factories in Europe, will start building Land Rover's new Freelander later this year.
The second ad will include United Utilities, and highlights Liverpool as having one of the UK's fastest commuting times.
Kris Donaldson, marketing director at the Liverpool Culture Company said last night: "These campaigns are a significant step towards meeting our ambitions for 2008 to attract millions of new visitors and friends and to generate thousands of new jobs.
"Liverpool has so much to offer and the fact we will deliver a fantastic Capital of Culture is a potent message for those whose perceptions of the city are outdated."
The adverts are the second stage of a wider campaign kickstarted by the Liverpool Culture Company two weeks ago.
The third stage of the campaign, also co-ordinated by TMP, is aimed at attracting more tourists to the Liverpool region.
Tourism ads will appear in national publications and in in-flight magazines for airlines using Liverpool John Lennon Airport throughout the summer.
Robert Crawford, Chief Executive of The Mersey Partnership, said: "We know recruiting a skilled workforce and securing keenly priced property are key factors for potential investors and we're talking up Merseyside's competitive advantage to a clearly defined business audience. Getting a good work-life balance can also be crucial in investment decisions, so we're backing hard-nosed economic facts with positive lifestyle messages about the City Region."
Martin King, The Mersey Partnership's Director of Tourism added: "This is a co-ordinated advertising campaign, and the Mersey Partnership has worked closely with the Culture Company, ensuring all the ads have a consistent look and feel and there is no duplication.
"It's a prime example of our two organisations working together to showcase what Liverpool and Merseyside has to offer to the rest of the UK, and indeed the world, as a place to live, work, invest and visit."

There isn't an awful lot of history to them, It's a sculpture by the same bloke as Field and Angel of the North.
Info (http://www.visitliverpool.com/site/product-p76741)
They are due to be moved in November to a site in New York but there's some discussion on having them stay.
Personally I don't think it packs the same impact as Field, which really was breaktaking.
