LIVERPOOL is going to celebrate its 800th birthday with the biggest party the city has ever seen. Councillors and culture officials are pressing ahead with plans for a special day of celebration and are anxious for your ideas.
Among suggestions on the table for August 2007 are street parties or one big bash, perhaps held at a large venue like Sefton Park. Liverpool council is putting together some ideas to mark "Year 800". It includes the possibility of turning Tuesday August 28, 2007 - the actual anniversary of the city's birth - into Liverpool Day, with everybody who is proud to be a Scouser playing a part.
* HOW do YOU think we should celebrate Liverpool Day?
