I spotted these new houses in Everton, built on the site of the old Roscommon St School. Someone has got good design skills at last.

I believe they are council houses as well!

According to the security guard on site, when asked how much they were going for, he said, 'You need to be on the council waiting list for one'.

Ouch, that hurts :PDT_Xtremez_12:

How things change eh? Where the incentive to work and get a mortgage?

I know someone who has got one and posted a pic up a week or two ago, they are indeed council and a few people from the old Easby estate in Kirkdale have them.

You have to pay rent. They are not for nothing.

When I was young, council housing was awful.

In my earlier days i guess I would have loved one. But! must admit they don't appeal to me now, they are still terraced houses! and I wonder what they will look like in 20 years time! As for council house 'style' I don't think you could beat the ones built around Springwood Ave/Heath Rd/ Mather Ave area for a good design!
