Hello All,
I was introduced to your site by my mum, who has raved about it for ages. She's a bit reluctant however to register and put her twopenny worth in. I think she would really enjoy it as she is regularly reading your posts and 'knows' some of you quite well. She will be reading my post soon - Could you all please try and persuade her to roll up her trouser leg and dip her toe in the water?
Her name is Mary and she has done extensive research on our family tree and loves reading about the history of Liverpool and where she grew up.

Hello all,

Coincidence I registered last night! I have only just read my daughters post. Thanks Sue and of course I know you are not to blame it must have been Simon.

As you all will have gathered I love this site, and one of the reasons that I have been reluctant to join is that my English is not very good. I am typing this into word so that I can check my spelling; I will print it of and then retype into my post. I have just found out that I can cut and paste from word, wonderful

I am very interested in family history and have managed to trace my fathers family back to 1706 in Scotland, what I have learnt from my family history is what a mixture we are, my children have English, Scotch, Welsh, Irish, Spanish, and Dutch ancestors.

Now that I have made the leap, hopefully I will have more courage in the future.
