Max sitting in a mini, especially in my racing seats is fine for me, I love its driving position and feel on the road but uncomfortable for everyone else. The suspension is almost non existent so the car handles like a go-cart ;)

Mine are black. With the 1293cc race engine its a powerful beast and rips everything else away from the lights except your GTI's EVO's etc...

I took a work colleague home in it last week, she is 6ft at least and fitted in perfectly, because the racing seats sit much further back. The drawback from this is that rear leg room has gone, making the car in effect, a 2 seater:p

Yes with the standard seats in then, I've also had metro mg seats in as they are great and leave passenger space in the back.

Will have to sit in one sometime then.:p

They are brill - I sold a load on ebay recently (i know, I should have kept 'em) - corgi collectables they were, it was only a matter of time until my 2 kids go hold of them and wrecked em so they neededd to go to a better home.

They all went for good prices especially the Beatles Psychadelic mini boxed, which I bought for 9 quid. It went to USA for 50 quid!

I've still got a few more still in boxes.

Great to get close to a loved one been together 39yrs it maybe a mini what times we remember the misses loves it.

A perfect day for some mini driving! This is a video taken by me in my mini today (28th July 2006).

The drive begins towards the Garston Coastal Reserve (Banks Road) then turns left into the old Liverpool Airport, now the site of some major building work. The brand new roads run parallel alongside the River Mersey shore line then up again towards the hustle and bustle of Speke Road. In the back ground you will hear Pink Floyd 'Animals' album, my fave floyd album. The weather was extremely hot and you will notice the grass fire in the distance! Shame it spoils a lovely view!

Yes Dave, the tripod was fixed to the rear roll cage. It's fixed now, so when ever I feel like recording, I can just link the camera up and click!

That'd be a Moke I reckon. They were designed as a feasability study for military use (lightweight, could be parachuted behind enemy lines etc), but ground clearance put paid to that. They were produced for civilian use though, and were pretty popular in Australia. :)

I used to work with fibre glass as a 16 year old, we used the T-cut for polishing, but Brasso did the same job better.. and cheaper. ;)

I had it partially restored, probably better to call the bodywork 'renovated' rather than restored in 2002. I have done all the other work myself apart from the paint and engine work.

I remember you having a whinge (last year I think) about having to fit that James Bond-esque twin pipe. Looks like a sawn-off shotgun strapped under there. :)

Hehe I took a drive today from Childwall up to Cronton (Excellent windy 60 road Kev!) and then down to Speke Boulevard, down to the Airport for a nose (pea soup) and then back home. About 25 miles in total. No one wanted a race though but I did become a pace setter on the Boulevard, who else would overtake a white Volvo Estate :Colorz_Grey_PDT_16:

I'm 5 10 and weigh about 15 stone and could easily get in to my XR2 - a tad bigger than a Mini.

1st Mini I had was a bog standard 850cc white one, 7707 KF that was
in 1965. Progressed up to an ex Police cooper S, the one with the twin
fuel tanks. Also I rallyed them, rolled a few all good fun. Calmed down
then and went into XR2,s and XR3,s. Also had an S type 3.8 Jag, that was
a nice motor, but as petrol went up, it had to go. Have an Escort 1.4 CI now

Well I got home tonite and realised my exhaust had broken away from the subframe meaning I had to drill new holes in the frame and remount it. Took ages and have the cuts to prove it :PDT_Xtremez_12:

my 1st car i owned was a mini clubman, bought it for 50 quid off my soon to be father -in-law, what a motor that was, ran on the sniff of an oily rag, you could get 6 people in it if it was raining hard enough, drove from liverpool to treardour bay and back home on a single tank of petrol for our honeymoon , it was maroon, nothing flash but great ,put it in part ex off my next motor, wish i'd never sold it, there are plenty of them on the road here, may get another one when the kids have flown the coop
