That will be bad news for local kids wanting a break through then as Houlier packed the academy with so called up and coming French stars and Benitez does the same with Spanish ones.


Local kids could be forgiven for looking to the likes of Gerrard and Carragher and thinking, i'd choose lfc any day as you might win things if you do break through. However, it is Everton who through financial constraints who continue to blood new local talent with the likes of Baxter, Anichebe, Vaughan following closely on top of Rooney and Hibbert.

I think our current back 4/5 are the only all English defenders currently on the show in the whole of the prem and something Jagielka thinks has been a bonding plus.
