Rock band Kaiser Chiefs are hotly tipped to scoop the 2005 Mercury Prize on Tuesday beating the likes of Coldplay and The Magic Numbers to one of Britain's most prestigious music awards. Bookmakers William Hill said the Leeds band were firm favourites to take the top prize with their debut album "Employment".

I've got the album and its great - I think they are calling it and other similar bands British New Wave or something.

Very good album, and can't complain if any of the 3 mention above win. Wouldn't mind the Magic Numbers winning it though, as they've worked they're socks off to get where they are now.

Like most of those kind of bands the voice sounds too moody.
