Impossible to say. What's the best book? The best music? You can't tell.
And I'm anyway just a casual gamer, and nobody can play all games on such a fair.
And I didn't want to tease you. Just showing a couple of photos for these people like you who couldn't visit the GC. And there are enough events in Britain for you (Glastonbury, Edinburgh Festival, Liverpool 08), aren't there?

Even though the factory of Crytek is not so far away of my town and their graphics are really good, I don't like their games. I don't play shooters. I'm sorry.
But I like racings. Only, that WipeoutHD looks like a copy of F-Zero, which made me always dizzy when I played it. Too many frames per second. But on the other hand, you can get real speed-drunkenness without to risk your life. Not bad. Have you, nocomply, really worked on this game or want you to kidding us?
What means HD in this case? Hard drive? And what was your task there at work?
And was there any PS running this game at the GC? If I had known there were people of Liverpool making it, I had played it.

However, the Brits are really good developers. (As long as Microsoft doesn't buy them) There are a lot of games developers in Britain. Much more than in Germany. Maybe cause its easier to programme anything if you know the meaning of if, then, class, scan, print and so on without to look into a dictionary. It's anyway hard to programme, and these English commands don't make it easier.
I wished my C++ was as good as my (lousy) English. But I can't learn everything.

nocomply, I'm looking for the random function. Means, I want to know which algorithm does generate a random number. I've heard it's based on the date/time of the computer. But I want to know it precisely. How does it work?
Do you have any idea? Or somebody else?

Yeah, really! I was a artist on the game, I modeled the ships.
And yeah, was playable at the show!

'HD' stands for High Definition! Game runs in 1080p at 60fps.

as for random numbers.. urm... I just draw pretty pictures!:)

They are nice - these ships. But I suppose nobody here will believe you had made them. You must prove it somehow. And what are you doing at the moment? A new game?

Meanwhile I'll pick out the old F-Zero and try it again. Even though Mario Kart is the best racing at all. Well, and I always wanted to play this old Conkers Bad Fur Day and ... Does somebody having a copy?

I've got CBFD on the N64, or do you mean the Xbox remake that was released a few years ago (Conker: Live and Reloaded)?
You can get both of them on ebay.

I meant the N64 version. And you're right, I should buy it at ebay. Do you think a British version does run on my German machine? There are just British offerers at the moment. Is there any country code?

Germany is a PAL region so I think it would. Dunno if it would only have English on the cartridge though.

I have been thinking about ebaying a load of old game stuff just to clear some space, but I think I'll keep CBFD (sorry)

CBFD was anyway only published in English, also in Germany.
And you're right, keep this game! Even though you could get quite much money for that. But it's like a original edition of Shakespeare.
