Kim Cattrall

Kim was born Clare Woodgate on August 21, 1956 in Liverpool. At the age of 3 months, Kim and her family emigrated to Canada, settling for a time in Nanaimo, British Columbia. She later returned to the UK to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for several years. When she was 16, she moved to New York where she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Kim is probably most famous for her part as 'Samantha' in 'Sex in the City'.

I have one question though, why does the odd magazine or newspaper claim she was born in Widnes when we know she was born in Liverpool?

Of course that raises the question of whether she was born in some hospital in Mossley Hill, and I can't think of one... or if she was born at home.

Exactly so, Steve. Wikipedia is subject to whatever the volunteer editors choose to post, which can potentially be misleading information. Wikipedia is controversial for that reason since absolutely anyone can get on and add or delete information, or make mischief as they will. Oh, the Freedom of the Internet! :rolleyes:

Maybe someone can definitively answer the question of where she was born. Possibly someone could come up with a copy of her birth certificate.
