My hero when i was a kid, a real top notch goalscorer.

I met him 3 years ago at goodison when he was selling his book, i watched the game on TV with him in the lounge instead of going to my seat. He is a real nice guy and we had a great chat.

Thanks for the memories Bobbie :PDT11

My brother was at the game when he got 2 (v Chelsea) in a 6:0 win making 30 for the season. Remarkable achievement on the 50th anniversary of WR Dean getting his 60 (also in a final game against London opposition).
I think Latchford now lives in Nurnberg in Germany. I remember the queue right outside the store on Ranelagh Street when he was signing his book there a few years ago.

I was at the chelsea 6-0 for his 30th goal, he got it from the penalty spot. the pitch was invaded and of course i had to go on as well. I pulled up a bit of turf and my dad planted it in our garden, next to the one he pulled up from Wembley in 1966:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Thunder thighs scored some great goals with the help of Dave Thomas whizzing up the wing. He was still there as Sharpy was being blooded in the early 80s.

The Elland Road semi final goal in 80 was a rocket, Billy Wright torpedoed the cross in, it'd took many a head off. I remember him scrapping in the penalty area in an f.a. cup game against wigan where we thrashed them - who'd mess with Latch, Trevor Ross and Brian Kidd in the same team. If I remember rightly it was one of those rare occassions where Liverpool were also playing at home at the same time - a sat 3pm normal kick off. (or was it the Wrexham game next round)

Despite he and Keegan scoring many goals for their clubs during the 70s, they both never scored in a derby match.

I'm thinking about one where other kopites can join in too as well as Mark.

I think they'd like one about........Glen Keeley.

(famously sent off less than half an hour into his only Everton appearance)

We know Robbie Keane's eventually got Dalglish's No.7 shirt but I think Keeley wanted it even more - off his back.

The worst player to ever play for Everton IMHO (I hate to admit this but he's married to my brother's wife's sister )

I remember the blues beating Coventry 6:0 and Dave Thomas flying down the wing. If I remember correctly he roasted Terry Yorath several times. I honestly think Yorath was the dirtiest player ever - forget Harris, Hunter, Storey et al, Yorath was a disgrace. He kicked Thomas a few times in the game.

By the way, I think the worst player to ever play for us was Nicky Tanner.
