Default Unseen Liverpool

Certain parts of the city appear to have suffered from a famine of photographers. Mundane streets were taken for granted, until they were gone! I tried to preserve on film everyday and unusual aspects of the way we were, keeping one jump ahead of the bulldozers!
My collection has remained unseen, until now, so enjoy.

The pics;
Sunset, from Sheil Park flats, 25 December 1971.
Consort Street, Edge Hill, August 1971 (typical 2 up, 2 down terraces c/w shop)
Everton Heights, August 1970.
Off St. Domingo Road, Everton, August 1970

Brilliant!
You should create a Flickr album and then you can have all these great photos in one place!
I quite agree about the mundane places thing, I am starting to think more and more like that....

Beautiful.
Carless streets - great, and the busiest it gets is one man and his dog.
More please!

When I collected postcards, there was an Edwardian photographer who specialised in taking photos of side streets in Liverpool.
They are very rare, and therefore very expensive.
(All I've got are a few photocopies.)

Amazing pictures! Just to correct you on one - it's Congress Street not Corsort Street. This was just off Smithdown Lane, Edge Hill.

Brilliant Sirob. I too prefer older pics and if colour all the better. Harry Ainscough was fantastic for capturing the 'mundane' nondescript side streets, alleys and otherwise overlooked by the many. The LRO is full of them and with their permission i've crated a new page on my website which will be given over to them.

Chippie, I thought porn shops were more your kind of thing?
